Why do you need an Indestructible Student Chair?
They say necessity is the mother of invention…
25 years ago, one of our customers, South Downs College (now part of HSDC) were replacing their chairs with worrying regularity.
They needed a chair which:
- Was high quality
- Wouldn’t break with excessive student usage
- Was affordable
We came up with a design which:
- Gave a fixed back with steel frame – this meant rocking and leaning back wasn’t going to damage the chair
- Removed unnecessary ‘moving parts’ – that couldn’t then be snapped
- Used high quality & hardwearing fabrics
Over the last 25 years, more universities and colleges have installed these seats in:
- Student accommodation
- Shared spaces – like libraries, computer rooms and communal spaces
- Seminar rooms
